Alphabetic Animals

I decided to create a series of illustrations featuring various wild animals. I wanted this project to serve as a way for  me to highlight the beauty of wildlife and the environment.  I ultimately created a book out of the illustrations.

INSPIRATION What inspired me to create these images was a book I loved as a child. Combing through the pages and learning about each animal made me excited. I decided to create something similar to capture the beauty of nature through a child-like lens. I started observing animals at the zoo and recording them with my camera

for later reference. For any animals that I did not have pictures of, I would find inspiration in some of my favorite wildlife photographers or simply from searching through various images of the animal.

BOOKS Each page in the book represents a different animal. I listed the environment where the animal lives and it's current population status.

POSTERS These posters were created in several different color schemes. My goal was to visually communicate the collision of the letters with the illustrations in a direct  way. Every letter invites the viewer to gaze more in order to see what lies beyond the shape.
