South By Southwest

Being able to rebrand South  By Southwest for one of my passion projects allowed me to create potentially vibrant, smart, and edgy illustrations. The conference is such a fun and lively event with so much to offer participants so I definitely wanted to explore ideas that focused on engagement.

PROCESS The annual South By Southwest conference features exciting opportunities  for creative people. This inspired me to rethink what the conference is all about.  As creative thinkers, we must constantly adapt to changing environments as well as the exciting advancements that we seem to be making in the industry.

That is where I discovered the idea for the over arching theme of the conference which is to “Find your way.” People become explorers when attending SXSW. This opportunity allowed me to create energetic and dynamic illustrations. The initial sketches involve directionals, triangles, x's, and banner like objects.

BADGES Each badge represents the three parts of the conference: film, music, and interactive. This makes it easy for people to identify one another through the industries that they represent.

PROMO POSTERS One of the earliest cornerstones of the conference is music. People will look forward to seeing who will be performing at this huge event which is where these promo posters come in handy.

STAGE DESIGN This stage design will be the backdrop for many keynote speakers and performances at the conference.

CONFERENCE SWAG A key feature at many conferences is the swag that guests receive. Shirts, buttons, bags, and even sunglasses are all fun products that help guests interact with the conference. These items also make great mementos for  guests to hold onto.
